An update regarding COVID 19:

Latest updates 12/01/2022 - Masks are not required, however, if you are ill or think you may have been exposed to COVID or the flu, please wear a mask or schedule all visits when you are well. Please call our office if you have further questions.

We are committed to continuing to provide as safe of an environment for you and your pets as possible. CVH has always practiced a high standard of cleanliness and disinfection, but we have implemented additional safety measures to help minimize the risk of spreading infection between clients, which include:

  • Disinfection of common surfaces in the lobby, exams rooms, and treatment areas throughout the day
  • Providing hand sanitizer at the front desk for clients, and encouraging hand washing before and after visits
  • Requiring staff members to stay home if they or their family members are ill

Drop-off appointments, for most essential services, are available for clients that wish to avoid visiting the building. Additionally, we can arrange to meet/deliver your pets at/to your vehicle upon request, helping to minimize wait times in the lobby.  Please call our office to discuss you options with our staff. If your pet cannot be dropped off and you would prefer to schedule an exam appointment, for the safety of all involved, please follow the recommended guidelines for minimizing spread of the virus.

  • Wash your hands frequently - before and after your visit
  • Maintain Social Distancing - 3 feet or more
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth
  • Practice Respiratory Hygiene - cough or sneeze into your elbow
  • Stay home - if you are feeling ill, have family members that are ill, if you have traveled recently, or have other high-risk factors

If you are picking up food and/or medications, please remember that you can contact us during office hours to request these refills to avoid wait times in the lobby.  It is possible to process payments over the phone and to bring your items to your vehicle, if requested. Please call to make these arrangements in advance and be patient if you are required to wait - we are a small hospital and our staff will do their best to accommodate you in a timely manner.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and advise you of any changes in our operations or policies. Our hope is that we will be able to continue careful operation of our hospital, and care of your pets, without major disruption.

Please be careful, kind, and stay well!

Dr. Zern and the staff of CVH
